About Colleague AI

Colleague AI is reimagining the way educators teach and students learn. Our all-in-one platform equips teachers with AI-powered assistants that function like expert colleagues—streamlining lesson prep, grading, classroom differentiation, and student insight generation. Our technology is backed by major federal research awards from the U.S. Department of Education and the National Science Foundation and is built with educators at the center.

Whether in the classroom or after school, our goal is to foster a more personalized, collaborative, and data-informed learning experience—making high-quality education more efficient and accessible.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to lead growth and strategic partnerships across the East Coast. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional who’s passionate about bringing transformative EdTech into schools. You’ll own the full sales cycle from outreach through close, building deep relationships with education leaders and shaping how Colleague AI scales across the region.

You’ll collaborate closely with our founders, customer success leads, and product team to craft strategic partnerships and help educators unlock the full potential of AI in their daily practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Targets: Consistently meet or exceed regional sales goals by closing new business and maintaining a strong, qualified pipeline.
  • Drive Prospecting: Identify and engage high-potential opportunities across K–12 schools, districts, and education networks.
  • Lead Strategic Outreach: Execute targeted campaigns to connect with superintendents, academic officers, innovation leads, and IT decision-makers.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Build consensus among district leaders to advance pilots, evaluations, and procurement decisions.
  • Own the Sales Process: Deliver tailored demos, respond to RFPs, and lead negotiations through close.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product, implementation, and success teams to craft customized solutions that meet district needs.
  • Forecast with Discipline: Use CRM and data tools to track pipeline performance and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
  • Represent the Brand: Champion Colleague AI at national and regional conferences, webinars, and events.
  • Inform Strategy: Share on-the-ground insights to shape messaging, positioning, and product development.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or consulting—ideally in K–12 EdTech or SaaS
  • Proven Results: Demonstrated success in securing district or state partnerships and managing long-cycle public sector deals
  • Initiative: Self-starter with a track record of thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
  • Communication Skills: Strong communicator who can confidently engage instructional and technical leaders alike
  • Educational Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with education policy, funding sources (ESSER, Title I, state grants), and public procurement
  • Mission Alignment: Deep belief in the role technology can play in educational equity and innovation

Bonus Points

  • Experience with AI-enabled or data-rich education platforms
  • Knowledge of instructional technology frameworks (e.g., ISTE, UDL)
