The Opportunity

We’re looking for a mission-aligned Senior Account Executive to lead strategic growth and district partnerships across the Southern region of the U.S. You’ll play a central role in expanding our footprint across schools and districts, from initial outreach through pilot design and long-term collaboration. This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role that sits at the intersection of sales, strategy, and educational transformation.

You’ll work closely with our founding team, product innovators, and customer success leaders to build meaningful connections with K–12 leaders and ensure Colleague AI is making a measurable difference in classrooms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Targets: Close deals and build a high-quality pipeline to meet or exceed regional booking goals.
  • Establish Regional Presence: Position Colleague AI as the trusted AI partner for K–12 school districts across the South.
  • Build Senior Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with superintendents, curriculum leaders, CTOs, and district leadership teams to drive buy-in and decision-making.
  • Expand Influence: Leverage successful partnerships to generate momentum across neighboring districts, education networks, and regional consortia.
  • Navigate Complex Sales Cycles: Lead demos, manage procurement timelines, respond to RFPs, and negotiate contracts with legal and financial stakeholders.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, finance, implementation, and marketing teams to tailor offerings that align with district priorities.
  • Manage Pipeline: Maintain accurate CRM tracking, monitor sales performance, and report forecasts with discipline and precision.
  • Provide Market Insight: Offer frontline feedback to inform product development, competitive positioning, and regional growth strategies.

What You Bring

  • Relevant Experience: 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or partnerships—ideally in EdTech, SaaS, or K–12 consulting
  • Sales Success: Proven track record of securing district partnerships and navigating long-cycle sales with public agencies
  • Strategic Execution: Strategic mindset with the ability to execute independently in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Communication Strength: Excellent communication skills—equally comfortable with instructional leaders and technical buyers
  • Funding Knowledge: Deep understanding of public education funding, procurement pathways, and policy priorities
  • Mission Alignment: Passion for improving education and a belief in the transformative potential of technology

Bonus Points

  • Experience with AI-powered or data-driven platforms in the education space
  • Familiarity with instructional technology models (e.g., ISTE Standards, UDL framework)
